Co-operation and new solutions strengthen society’s security
During 2008-2009, the international security industry, the Southern Swedish Academy and the public sector from southern Sweden are establishing a jointly financed Northern European centre, a knowledge platform for risk and security issues.
The focus is on education and practical training.
There are new demands today on the tools used to protect and create a secure society. More people are demanding new solutions, top-quality customised training and new methods to create security in a global society. The skills platform therefore focuses on training and exercises in handling society’s “critical flows” in which large numbers of people, and large amounts of goods, energy and money, are all moved simultaneously.
North European Societal Security Training is comprised of partners and stakeholders working together. Each contributes with unique competence, and there is room for many more.
With realistic crisis exercises in complex situations, co-ordinated strategic competence and scientific research, we are together creating a new, completely customised competence development programme for the private and public sectors primarily in Northern Europe.
